To rent a vehicle from AuroraScendente, the customer must:

Be at least 21 years old (minimum age may vary by vehicle category).

Hold a valid EU or international driving license for at least 1 year.

Present a valid ID/Passport.

Provide a valid credit or debit card for security deposit.
1. Booking & Payment

All reservations require full payment or a confirmed deposit at the time of booking.

Prices displayed on the website include basic insurance but may vary depending on season, model, and availability.

Acceptable payment methods include credit card, debit card, or bank transfer.
2. Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit is required depending on the vehicle category.

The deposit will be held during the rental period and released after the vehicle is returned in the same condition.
3. Vehicle Pickup & Return

Vehicles must be picked up and returned at the agreed time and location.

Late returns may incur additional charges.

The renter must inspect the vehicle before driving and report any pre-existing damage.
4. Insurance Coverage
AuroraScendente provides basic insurance coverage that includes:

Third-party liability

Limited damage protection
Additional insurance (CDW, full coverage, tire & glass protection) may be purchased for extra safety.
The renter is fully responsible for:

Damages caused by negligence

Driving under the influence
-
Unauthorized drivers
-
Traffic fines and toll penalties
5. Use of Vehicle
The renter agrees to:

Use the vehicle responsibly and in accordance with Portuguese traffic laws.

Not smoke inside the car.

Not use the vehicle for racing, drifting, off-road driving, towing, or illegal activities.

Ensure that only authorized drivers listed in the contract operate the vehicle.
Violation of these rules may result in termination of the rental agreement and loss of deposit.
6. Fuel Policy

The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as provided at pickup.

Missing fuel will be charged at the local fuel rate plus a service fee.
7. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before pickup may be refunded (conditions apply).

Cancellations within 48 hours or no-shows may result in partial or no refund.
8. Liability
AuroraScendente is not responsible for:

Personal items left in the vehicle

Losses caused by delays, accidents, or breakdowns beyond our control

Misuse of the vehicle by the renter
9. Privacy & Data Protection
AuroraScendente complies with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).
Your personal data will be used only for booking, verification, and legal purposes and will not be shared without authorization.
10. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Portugal.
Any disputes will be resolved under Portuguese jurisdiction.
